We got tired of watching local businesses get crushed by national chains and franchises with bigger marketing budgets — even when those local businesses offered genuinely better service. The plumber who actually shows up on time. The dentist who actually cares. The auto shop that actually fixes what's broken. Too often, they'd lose to whoever had the slickest billboard or the biggest ad spend.
Along the way, we realized something: most local businesses don't lose because they're worse. They lose because nobody can find them on major search engines. Their competitors aren't better — they're just more visible. Somewhere between the map pack and the organic results, the best local businesses were getting buried simply because they didn't know how to play the game.
That's where Scion Media came in. The mission has always been simple: level the playing field.
