Verify your business on Google
with a 60-second video

Before You Start

Three quick checks

1. Be on-site

Record at your actual business address or primary service location. Don't drive during the video.

2. Have your phone ready

You'll record on your phone after scanning a QR code from your computer. One continuous take.

3. Gather proof items

Business license, utility bill, or an invoice. Plus branded items — vehicle, tools, uniform, business cards.

Go to business.google.com

On your computer, open business.google.com. This is Google's Business Profile dashboard — where you manage your listing.

Sign in to your Business Profile

Sign in with the Google account that owns your Business Profile (usually the Gmail or Google Workspace email tied to the business).

Tip: If you manage multiple Google accounts, double-check the avatar in the top-right corner — easy to be signed in as the wrong one.

Click "Verify now"

You'll see a notice that your business isn't visible to customers yet, with a blue Get verified button. Click it to start the verification flow.

Select "Business video" and click Next

Google will ask how you want to verify. Choose the Business video option (not Phone code or Email code). Click Next.

Know the 3 proofs you need to capture

Before you hit record, plan the shot. Your video needs to cover these three things in one unbroken take under 2 minutes:

1. Proof of Location — a street sign, house number on a mailbox, or nearby landmark that clearly shows your address or service area. Avoid unmarked land.
2. Proof of Existence — your tools, equipment, inventory, branded vehicle, uniform, or business cards. Show what you use to do the work.
3. Proof of Management — unlock your service vehicle, open your storage area, log into your work software, or show a business document with your name on it (license, insurance, utility bill, invoice).

Click "Start recording" and scan the QR code

Click Start recording. A QR code appears on your computer. Open your phone's camera, point it at the code, and tap the link — your phone takes over as the recording device. Film the three proofs in one continuous take, stop, and tap Submit. Google usually responds in 24–48 hours.

If Google rejects it: don't panic. Most rejections are small fixes — re-record and resubmit. Reply to our email or call us and we'll diagnose it together.
Recording Rules

Do this. Don't do that.

Google's reviewers look for specific things — and reject videos that break a short list of rules. Stick to this and you're good.

✓ Do
  • Keep the video 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Shorter and clearer wins.
  • Record in one continuous take. No edits, no cuts.
  • Show your address clearly — mailbox, house number, or street sign.
  • If vehicle-based, show the license plate and any branding/decals.
  • Place business documents on the car seat or dashboard instead of going inside.
  • Capture the surrounding area — nearby landmarks, cross streets, recognizable businesses.
✕ Don't
  • Do not enter your home during the recording.
  • Do not drive to show neighboring areas or landmarks.
  • Do not show faces or speak during the video.
  • Do not include locations outside your actual service area.
  • Don't edit or trim — upload the raw, single take.
  • Don't show unmarked land with no visible address or landmark.
What Happens Next

Nobody sees this video but Google.

Video verification is private. It's only used to confirm your business is real — never shown on your listing, never shared publicly.

Private to Google

Your video is used only for verification review. It never appears on your listing and isn't shared with anyone outside Google's verification team.

24–48 hour review

Google typically gets back within two business days. You'll get a verification email the moment it's approved — nothing else for you to do in the meantime.
